    Nutrition

We at Lake Station Community Schools strive to make sure we are providing access to a balanced diet for your student. The Food Services department has worked and will continue work to bring meals to our community.  Please visit the food service website to reserve your pre-order meals today for eLearning students.  In addition, meal fee waivers from the USDA have been extended, which means all students are eligible to eat for free for the remainder of the 2020-2021 school year, or until USDA funds run out.  USDA will announce when meals will return to  being paid.

“A balanced diet and physical activity are vital to academic performance. A healthy diet has a direct link to increased cognitive function and memory skills, decreased absenteeism from school, and improved mood. These advantages can help students stay focused and complete their coursework.”
