• Bailey Procedures
     
    Absence: For your child"s safety, please call the school between 8:00 - 8:45 A.M. if  your child is absent. (Try to schedule doctor appointments and vacations outside of school hours or on non-school days. If that is not possible, please bring students back to school when the appointment is completed.) A doctor's note is needed when a child is absent 5 or more days.
     
    Tardy: If your child is tardy (8:40 A.M), please sign in him/her in the main office.
     
    Picking up Early: Please sign your child out in the Main Office. 

    Contact Information:     It is extremely important that every student maintain a current Emergency Card in the school office. Notify the school of any changes, including any changes to phone numbers. 

    School Hours:     Breakfast is served starting at 8:00 A.M. each morning. School doors do not open until 8:00 A.M. so please do not drop off students or allow them to come to school before then.  School begins at 8:30 A.M. and ends at 3:20 P.M. (Early dismissal is at 2:30 every Wednesday) Parents picking up their children after school need to get in the pick-up line in the school parking lot and not park in anything other location. 

    Lost and Found:      Missing articles are located in the Main Office.

    Lunch:     You are welcome to join your child for lunch in the cafeteria. Notify the school office by 8:45 A.M. to place your lunch order.
          
    Medications:  All medication needs to be in the office with a note.
     
    Notes: The classroom teacher must receive written permission if there is a change in transportation. The classroom teacher must also receive a note when your child returns to school following any absence stating the reason for the absence and the dates your child missed. In addition, the classroom teacher must receive a note if your child is to leave early for any planned reason. Please make sure any note is signed and dated.

    Parties:     Invitations to home parties will only be distributed at school if your child has one for each person in his/her classroom. The time of distribution will be at the discretion of the classroom teacher.

    Recess:     Make sure your child is dressed appropriately for the weather. Every effort is made to take students outside for recess unless there is excessive precipitation or the temperature/chill factor is lower than 30 degrees.


    Visitors: During the school day everyone is required to stop at the office, sign in, and put on a visitor's sticker. The school office will deliver forgotten items which are brought in by parents.
