Classroom Expectations
1. Be responsible and organized.
- Come to class on time with your charged Chromebook and your agenda book.
- Use sanitizer upon entering the classroom.
- Wipe down your assigned desk at the end of the hour.
2. Be respectful.
- Behave in a manner that promotes a positive learning environment.
- Respect yourselves and others by using proper language and manners.
- Be kind with your words.
3. Do your personal best.
- Listen and follow the teacher's instructions.
- Complete all classroom and homework assignments to the best of your ability and in a timely manner.
- If you are absent, it is your responsibility to check Google Classroom to read the announcement for the day and to do the assignment(s) for the day. E-mail me if you have any questions. mwineland@lakes.k12.in.us
4. Be an active listener.
- Be courteous and listen when someone else is speaking.
5. Be trustworthy.
- All work should be your own. Cheating will result in a zero for both parties involved and parents will be notified.
6. Be safe.
- Read and follow the student handbook.
- All school rules, whether stated and/or implied, in the student handbook will be followed and enforced in this class.
Due to the distraction of personal devices, once walking into the classroom, you will put your phone and AirPods, earbuds, and/or headphones into a bin with your name on them, or you may put them on the changing station. The use of your personal device will be a reward once your classroom work is complete.
All actions have consequences.
- Following the rules and doing what is expected of you will result in positive consequences. These include, but are not limited to: a homework pass, a phone call or a note home.
- Failure to follow these rules will result in negative consequences. These are determined by the classroom teacher and will include, but are not limited to: a referral to the main office or a conference with your parent/guardian.
