Our History

The history of Edison Bands goes back to 1938 when, under the direction of Mr. B Brubaker, the band was formed. Starting with only thirteen members, and quickly growing to forty-five members, the band made several appearances in its first year and competed in district, regional, and state competitions earning awards and accolades from across the state.

Over the past 80-plus years, Edison Bands have performed and competed across several U.S. states and Canada, representing Edison and the Lake Station community in parades and festivals. It is our hope, as we go boldly into the future, that we will continue to be ambassadors for our school, our community, and our music.
