• Class of 2026 Information

     

    Senior Portrait Day

    • Thursday November 6th 8am
      (Please dress professionally and appropriately)

    Senior Awards Ceremony:

    • Thursday, May 20th at 6:00 pm in the Auditorium   
      (individual invitations will be passed out).
    • If you have received a scholarship of any kind please inform the Guidance Office by Friday, May 1st.

    Graduation Breakfast / Practice:

    • Mandatory Breakfast – Friday, June 5th at 8:00am. 
    • Practice – Friday, June 5th at 8:30 am
    • All seniors must attend to walk at graduation
    • Index Cards — Print your first and last name (phonetically spelled) as it will be called out the day of graduation. 
    • Must be within three (3) credits to walk at graduation.

    Caps / Gowns:

    • Distributed – Friday, May 29th prior to Elementary Schools graduation walk. Use this link to order senior cap and gown, announcements, and other senior items: www.highschool.herffjones.com
    • Packages are shown first….individual items are on the tabs to the right. The cap, gown & tassel is around $48.00.

    Graduation Walk:

    • May 29th, if you are an online student or graduated early and would like to participate please be at Edison by 8am and meet in the cafeteria. All Seniors will be called down from class when it is time to line up.
    • Class photo will also be taken once all students return from their grad walk.

    Tickets: 

    • Distributed – Friday, June 5th after practice. ( five [5] tickets per senior).. More information will be given closer to graduation.
    • Tickets to immediate families will be given a set time when gates open. All other spectators will be first come first seating. 

    Picture Information:

    • Individual pictures will be taken the day of graduation and you will receive your pictures after the ceremony. Class pictures will be available for purchase and mailed to the address provided.
    • ** Information and price list to be sent at a later date.

    Graduation Day is Sunday, June 7th at 2:00 pm:

    • All graduates need to be at Thomas Edison at 12:00pm(Noon), Door A
    • The graduation ceremony will begin promptly at 2:00pm, with doors opening at 1:25pm for guests (guests must have a ticket to enter).

    Graduation Day Attire:

    • The clothing required in order to participate in commencement is: 
      • A cap and gown purchased this year from the vendor with which Edison has contracted.  (Due to possible differences in color in bolts of material, design changes, and appearance/care of previous years caps and gowns, only current caps and gowns will be worn.)
      • Alterations to gowns will NOT be allowed.
      • Students – are to wear school appropriate dress shoes and clothes. (No sweat pants or pajama pants, no flip flops, no crop tops, no jeans/pants with holes) ALL gowns will remain zipped up. 
      • Only cords or sashes provided by Edison School can be worn. No customized sashes will be allowed (flags,picture sashes).

    Reminders: 

    • Please remind your parents and family that balloons and flowers are not allowed (they can block the view for others). Anyone coming in with balloons/ flowers will be asked to take them to his/ her car.

    ALL DEBTS MUST BE PAID BEFORE RECEIVING YOUR CAP AND GOWN.
