Creation of the Edison Red Book
The Edison Red Book was conceptualized in fall of 2023. The first issue was in winter of 2024.
Several things inspired Ms. Meyer's creation of the Edison Red Book:
- Aubrey Beardsley's The Yellow Book
- Self-published "zines" that she read in college
- A similar project Ms. Williams has done with seniors
- A session at an ILF conference about a library teen artist-in-residence program
- A desire to give creative students a tangible outlet for their work
